Organization Overview
2Life has been at the heart of positive change in the affordable senior housing ecosystem since 1965, with our residents at the center of everything we do. We are on a mission to ensure that all older adults have the opportunity to age in community: to live full lives of connection and purpose in dynamic, supportive environments. To that end, we develop, own, operate, and provide supportive services to every one of our communities. In all we do, we advocate for and empower older adults guided by our shared values of lovingkindness, community, and repairing the world. 2Life supports seniors so they can live with purpose and joy in housing they can afford, surrounded by the integrated services they need, and in an interconnected, nurturing community. We do this by:
Creating vibrant communities that encourage lifelong learning
Bringing housing and healthcare together to meet seniors’ complex health and wellness needs
Fostering an environment filled with people who embrace each other’s unique stories and lived experiences
Advocating for seniors to change what it means to age in America
Today, 2Life Communities proudly meets the needs of a diverse population of over 2,000 seniors. Our residents represent 42 countries of origin and speak 22 languages. We have developed and now operate more than 1,800 apartments located at 12 properties across seven campuses. The median household income of residents who live in income-restricted apartments — which represent 94% of 2Life’s apartments — is approximately $13,000.
