Program Overview

Now in its tenth year, the Academy is designed to help develop leadership skills of managers in the aging-services field. Participants actively explore best practices of leaders, analyze their own leadership, learning and problem solving styles and experience the synergies that result from high performing teams. In order to maximize learning opportunities, space is limited to a maximum of 18 participants.

We understand that the current landscape will pose some unprecedented and unique challenges to executing our typical Leadership Academy schedule. We will be asking the participants and their sponsoring organizations to be patient and flexible as we navigate through the uncertainty that the pandemic creates.

Our Dean, Jodi Detjen, has over a decade of experience teaching online. Her teaching philosophy is the same as in person: experiential. Your online learning experience will be filled with discussions, exercises, online interactive tools, reflections and structured  handouts so that you will get a high level of interactive learning throughout. We will be connecting, getting to know one another and ourselves online - and the depth will be there. Don’t worry, we’ve got this.
