Program DescriptionImplementation of the new Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (PFMLA) is proceeding right on schedule and is generating lots of questions – as well as some anxiety – for employers. On July 1, 2019, Massachusetts employers of all sizes will be required to start making contributions to the Trust Fund from which the benefits will be paid. Starting in 2021, employees will become eligible to take up to 12 weeks of paid, job-protected family leave, and up to 20 weeks of medical leave.
