The Psychology of Change and the Change-Hardy Board
A workshop for Senior Leaders and Board Members

Tuesday, November 19, 2019, 3:00pm - 7:30pm
Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, Worcester, MA

Program Description:
CHANGE is a constant in today’s aging services sector. Yet many nonprofit Boards are reluctant to activate change within their ranks and direct it with their leadership.
Do certain Boards accept and/or drive change more easily than others? What are the characteristics of a “Change-Hardy Board?”
Following brief remarks by Keith Robertson, Managing Director at Ziegler, on mounting evidence that Boards must take more risks, business psychologist Dr. Everett Moitoza will lead a deep-dive into how your organization’s Board can open its “mind” and shift how it deals with change.

Objectives:

  • Learn how a combination of cultural assumptions, age, personality and brain chemistry affect a Board’s ability and willingness to effectively govern.
  • Complete and discuss an individualized Board Change-Hardy Inventory.
  • Learn how your organization can approach change with greater openness and leadership.

The presentations will be followed by a networking dinner.

Cost:

  • LeadingAge Provider Member: $125 per person
  • LeadingAge Provider Board Member: $99 per person
  • Non-Member Provider: $200 per person

CEUs: 2.75 Nursing Home Administrator CEUs will be offered for this program. **LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire has obtained approval for this educational offering by the National Continuing Education Review Services (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrators Board (NAB) for 2.75 participant hours.
