Cell phone apps have become an essential part of our daily lives. We use them to communicate, shop, and socialize.

Do you wish your organization had an app? Does your organization have an app that is limited to sharing basic information? Do you have daily problems that could be fixed if everyone had the information in their pocket? Do you wish you knew more about how to create an app?

The LeadingAge MA 2019 HackFest is a day-long event where teams from LeadingAge MA provider members will compete to develop an app focused on solving everyday challenges of aging service organizations.

Your Team

Provider organizations will put together teams that MUST include the following:

• An employee who will serve as the team captain
• A resident/consumer
• A student
• Someone with a technical background (this person could be another individual or one of those listed above) –  knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets is a recommended minimum

Some other suggested team members:

• An employee from a business that works closely with your organization (i.e. a designer, marketing professional, etc.)
• External stakeholder (i.e. a family member of a resident)                                            

Teams should have a max of 7 people.
